An Underwriter is tasked with the review of merchant applications by systematically researching and verifying the accuracy of any statements and/or documentation provided and examining the validity of the merchants business model and sales practices in light of internal and external acceptance policies and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
Receiving applications from various internal sources and making
sure these are correct and in line with our procedures and guidelines.
Reviewing merchant applications and approving or rejecting them
along with providing an explanation as to any outstanding points.
Maintaining contact with partners as well as internal
stakeholders and facilitating in achieving a favorable outcome for
applications.
Tracking the status of ongoing applications and creating
scheduled reports to reflect all open cases and their status.
Requirements:
At least 1 year experience as an Underwriter in the Payments sector
English- reading & writing
Attention to details
Organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Independent worker
Creative thinking outside the box
